Combined Antioxidant Feed Grade

Combined Antioxidant is a feed additive formulated by blending two or more antioxidants with complementary mechanisms of action. It is designed to overcome the limitations of single-component systems by providing comprehensive protection against lipid oxidation in animal feed, oils, and fats.

Specifically, combined antioxidants typically combine synthetic radical scavengers (such as BHA, BHT, ethoxyquin, or PG) with metal chelators (such as citric acid or phosphoric acid). Single antioxidants face inherent limitations including dose-dependent toxicity risks, bioaccumulation concerns, and inadequate protection against multi-stage oxidation. Composite systems address these challenges through synergistic mechanisms: radical scavengers neutralize free radicals during the initiation and propagation stages, while metal chelators sequester pro-oxidant metal ions (Fe²⁺, Cu²⁺) that catalyze oxidation reactions. This dual action provides comprehensive, temperature-resilient protection against both primary oxidation (peroxide formation) and secondary oxidation (aldehyde and ketone formation). Studies have shown that optimized ternary blends of EQ, BHT, and citric acid significantly outperform single antioxidants in extending the oxidative stability period while enabling reduced total dosage.

Combined Antioxidant is carefully manufactured under strict quality control and is available in both powder and liquid forms to meet different application requirements. It is widely used in poultry, swine, ruminant, and aquaculture operations to protect feed quality, preserve nutritional value, and extend shelf life. The recommended dosage typically ranges from 125 to 250 g per ton for complete feeds, and 250 to 500 g per ton for premixes.
