Combined Acidifier is a specialized feed additive formulated by blending two or more organic and inorganic acids with complementary mechanisms of action. It is widely recognized as an effective alternative to antibiotic growth promoters, playing a crucial role in improving feed hygiene, enhancing nutrient digestibility, and supporting gut health in livestock and poultry.

Specifically, combined acidifiers typically contain a synergistic blend of acids such as fumaric acid, citric acid, lactic acid, phosphoric acid, benzoic acid, and formic acid, often with carriers like silicon dioxide for slow-release properties. The combination works through multiple mechanisms: reducing gastrointestinal pH to activate digestive enzymes (particularly proteases), inhibiting pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella through acid penetration of bacterial cell membranes, and providing energy through organic acid participation in the tricarboxylic acid cycle.
